In this edition of the EFQM Newsletter, you will read about the launch of the EFQM Global Excellence Index that took place on July 19th but also about the EFQM Forum and our Ambassadors. This year, the EFQM Forum and Award Ceremony will take place in Madrid on October 26th and 27th under the theme: Excellence through Agility, 25 years after King Juan Carlos of Spain handed the first EFQM Award. This edition is organised in collaboration with our Spanish Partner, Club Excelencia en Gestión.
Brussels, July 19th - Born from the ambition to promote global Excellence across sectors and facilitate benchmarking, the EFQM Global Excellence Index is a platform where organisations will be recognised by EFQM and can profile themselves within their sector and feature their best and role model practices.

This week, the EFQM Management Team was in Italy to sign a partnership agreement with the Consortium SCIRE. This non-profit organisation was founded in 2001 by “Tor Vergata” University of Rome and “Elasis” research center (FIAT group).SCIRE collaborates with research centres and several companies, encouraging cooperation and technology transfer.
In this newsletter you can read about the many activities we are driving at this point in time. They have one thing in common: the global expansion of our activities. This week, the EFQM Team was in Prague for a global partner meeting hosted in a very special and inspiring environment. The first day of the event was hosted at the hotel Kampa and saw a lot of hard work on new projects, innovations and the presentation of initiatives. The Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2017 started today already and EFQM is on site for 3 full days, you can find us at the Excellence Pavilion (DIGAE C-13A/B/C). We are not alone though, you can also meet Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas (EFQM Excellence Award Winner 2016) and VAMED-KMB (EFQM Excellence Award Prize Winner 2016) who joined the event to share their expertise about Excellence as international EFQM Members.
After the success of last year's edition of DIGAE, EFQM joins again this event hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre during 3 full days. This time though, we have decided to bring our participation to the next level by organising an Excellence Pavilion showcasing local and international examples of excellent organisations, presenting their success stories and implementation of the EFQM Excellence Model.
The Expert Webinar on the new ISO Standards on Management Systems and the EFQM Excellence Model was run twice and had more than 400 registrations! In view of this success and the numerous requests to organise new webinars, we have decided to make available the recording of the last session as well as the booklet itself...

This week, we welcomed the first Briefing of this year's Global EFQM Excellence Award! It started with a workshop ran by Samuli Pruikkonen and Riëtta Klijn to bring all assessors up to speed. It included a fun team building activity which brought everyone together and allowed the discovery of skills among the teams!
